The Roman Goddess Pomona, the Goddess of Fruitful Abundance, is the 12th Original Watercolor Painting in my "30 Goddesses in 30 Days" series. Pomona is symbolic for the tending of gardens, the commitment to the process over the harvest. She is symbolic of the dedication we have at nurturing those seeds to the fruits of our labor.

Here, Pomona is portrayed with her hair being an orchard, and filled with fabulous ripe fruits. The roots of the tree extend down and lightly touch her face with their swirls. She wears a high collared dress, that is embellished with liquid pearls to bring a rich appearance. Turquoise liquid pearls are painted through her hair, bringing some sparkle to the tree roots that are intertwined throughout.

The liquid pearls bring a rich feel, adding to the symbolism of Abundance.

The foliage of the orchard is done in many shades of green to give it depth, a lovely contrast to the delicate colors and expression in her face and eyes.

The painting is signed on the front, signed and titled on the back, and sealed with a matte finish.

It comes to you un-framed, giving you the ability to frame it to match your decor.

It is placed on a back mat and inside a plastic sleeve during shipping to protect the painting.
