Goddess Hera with Peacock Feather Crown Original Watercolor Painting 9 x 12 Number 3 in 30 Goddesses in 30 Days Series

This is an Original Watercolor Painting of the Greek Goddess Hera. She wears a rich and brilliant Peacock Feather on her forehead, similar to a headdress. Her colors are soft and warm, her face and hair in shades yellow ochre, bismark brown, and shades of blue.

She was known to watch over women throughout their entire life and decision making processes - through their relationships, child rearing, independence, and stability. In essence, Hera is a Goddess nurturing the state of Womanhood.

"Hera" is Number 3 in my "30 Goddesses in 30 Days" challenge to myself, exploring the new medium of Peerless Transparent Watercolors and speed painting techniques.
